Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 19:14).
Let us begin this journey with the humility and the inquisitiveness of a little child.
As you begin the book of Genesis, ask the Lord to reveal Himself to you in a new and fresh way.
Identify the different encounters with God and start to digest the truths of what matters most to God.
The Book of Exodus is about bondage, deliverance, redemption, and obedience. As you begin the journey through Exodus ask the Lord to reveal His love, His character, and His desire for your obedience.
It is not uncommon for many to find the book of Leviticus challenging with its emphasis on rules and regulations. However, it can also be viewed on a guide to worship As you read Leviticus as the Lord to reveal His heart for your worship and what you can glean from Leviticus as a Christ-follower.
A book of preparation. In Numbers we learn of how the Children of Israel began preparation for entry into the promised land. As Christ-followers we are in the Kingdom, the promise of God, and while we await His return we can extract great lessons from this book. Journal your gleanings as you continue to prepare for His return.
The Scripture in the image is from Deuteronomy 7:9. While this book is famous for the Ten Commandments (4:44-29:1) it is not about rules and regulations for the Christ-follower. While obedience to God is paramount it is about an attitude of the heart. God loves you and I and He is ever faithful. As you read this book allow the infusion to digest into the truth that our life in Christ is a love story.
